Yesterday I announced I will not seek reelection in 2018.

I am sincerely humbled by the trust and responsibility the voters of New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District placed in me. I am deeply appreciative of the lifetime friendships I have made across the 8 counties I represent. I am forever grateful to the support, advice and encouragement you have provided me through the years.

The Burlington County Times had this to say about Frank in today's endorsement:

We need someone in Congress who knows how to stand up for this region, no matter which party is in the majority, and someone who can work across the aisle whenever he is able. When he believes it is important to do so — regarding his own party’s blockage of aid for Superstorm Sandy victims, for example — LoBiondo has pushed back against party leaders.

It was not an easy decision to make, but LoBiondo has served his district well and deserves your vote.

Frank received the full support of the Philadelphia Inquirer today in his re-election campaign.

In the Second District, which includes Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Salem, and parts of four other counties, FRANK LOBIONDO, has made the case for a 12th term. LoBiondo, whose family owns a trucking firm, is that rare Republican who has earned the trust of labor unions. He has defended the Shore's delicate ecological systems and helped save the U.S. Coast Guard Station in Cape May.

The Asbury Park Press announced their endorsement of Frank today, saying:

LoBiondo’s willingness to reach across the aisle is an important attribute in a Congress that has been decidedly partisan in the past several years. Although he leans conservative on such issues as abortion, taxes and government regulation, he ranks as one of the more moderate voices in a Republican Party in short supply of them.
